Unfortunately not. We ask for full payment at the time of booking so we can purchase your materials in advance. This ensures we have everything ready for you when you arrive.

Yes, if you book your place more than seven days before the workshop, you can choose your preferred wool colour or material option. Just let us know when booking and we’ll share the shades available. If you book within seven days of the event, you’ll be able to pick from the colours we have in stock on the day.

Not at all! All our workshops are suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced crafters. You’ll be guided every step of the way, and you’ll always leave with a finished handmade item to take home.

Absolutely. Many of our guests come solo and quickly find themselves chatting, laughing, and making friends over tea and chocolate biscuits. Craft n Chat is a warm and welcoming community space where everyone belongs.

We’re happy to carry your booking over to another date if you can’t attend. However, as we purchase materials when you book, we’re unable to offer refunds.

We have parking available at the rear of the building. Access is just after Ducklings Childcare under the height-restricted barrier, and you can use any space marked for Ducklings Childcare. Yes. You can enter the building from the rear with minimal steps. Our toilets are located down a short flight of stone steps, but we also have access to a more level toilet in the Ducklings Childcare building next door.

Yes, there’s a bus stop just a few yards away on Wakefield Road, making Craft n Chat easy to reach from across Huddersfield and the surrounding area.

No, we provide everything you need! Occasionally we’ll ask for your colour choice ahead of time, depending on the workshop. If you’re coming for an arm knitting session, we do ask that you wear short sleeves and remove any bracelets, watches, or rings so the wool doesn’t snag.

Most of our workshops are suitable for ages 13 and up. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking part. There’s no upper age limit — crafting is for everyone!

Yes! Every session includes bottomless tea, coffee and a selection of biscuits. We can usually accommodate dietary requirements if you let us know in advance.

Yes, you can. Craft n Chat is available for private bookings, including birthday parties, baby showers, team-building days and group craft sessions. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas and available dates.
